Metalkas Sp. z o.o. has been operating on the Polish market since 1957, continuing family traditions connected with production of metal goods, especially metal cases in its first years of operation. 100% of the company's capital is a Polish, family capital managed by the third generation.

The early 1990's marked a dynamic development of the company that resulted in changing its ownership structure - establishing a limited liability company, and moving in 2005 the entire company into new production, storage and office facilities, altogether covering 4,100 m², in one place, 63 Deszczowa Street in Bydgoszcz.

Additionally, the incessant development of the company included investments in modern machines, extension of the array of products on offer, as well as implementation of new technological solutions, and systematic increase in the quality of products.

All these actions resulted in obtaining by the company the Quality Management System consistent with the requirements of PN-EN ISO 9001:2001 standard, and many Russian GOST certificates in 2004, and the NATO National Economy Entity Code in 2005. Presently, the company is in the process of VDS certification. The company’s products that have to be burglar-proof confirmed hold all necessary Conformity Certificates issued by the Institute of Precision Engineering in Warsaw.
For operations in the field of property protection realised in the form of technical security, the company holds the Licence No. L-0049/05 issued by the Ministry of the Interior and Administration, whereas the employees providing services hold Security Certificates. This guarantees secure realisation of services connected with broadly-understood installation and servicing of mechanical passive safety devices.

During International Exhibition of Security System "SECUREX 2005" in Poznan our company was rewarded a Gold Medal.
The company’s continuous development means also gaining an increasingly wider group of buyers, which includes domestic customers as well as foreign buyers (also network ones) from such countries as Ukraine, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Russia, Czech Republic, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, France, Italy, Great Britain and Germany.
